GREEN LIGHT!
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I’m thrilled to say that as of yesterday we ended our Seed & Spark campaign and we are 101% funded and green lit to go into production and start filming in Mexico City at the end of the month.
I’m still in disbelief that this community rallied in 30 days to make this possible. I got the notification that we were 100% funded in the middle of catering a large party and had to contain my excitement until the job was over in order to stay focused through to the finish line. I took the long way home after work so I could sit with my thoughts in a contained space and let myself feel all the feels. I thought of every single one of our contributors like a mantra in my head all the way down Beverly. I thought about the 6 years of development behind this project. I thought of the incredible crew making this vision real, I thought of the fortuitous Venn diagram of people in my life that have encouraged and directly contributed to “The Yearning Table”. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. Your contributions are beyond the financial. Your engagement moves and grows this story.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your words of encouragement, your feedback, your well wishes for the yearning table. Now on to the real work!!
Your contributions are going directly into effect. We are all set to start filming at the end of October. We’re pulling triggers and finalizing plans. Please follow our progress on instagram. We’ll be posting BTS and progress notes as we go along.
For everyone who is receiving incentives - I’ll be mailing out goodies at the end of next week. Thank you to Windrose Farm for donating ingredients for jams and hot sauce. My kitchen is a cannery of plum jams and tomato sauces and fermenting hot sauces right now. I’m swimming in some of the most beautiful early Fall/Late Summer produce from my favorite farm and day 1 supporters at Windrose.
